a small studio,on purpose
Studio Soothe is a two-room day spa offering one-of-a-kind, personalised services built around each guest — their skin, their shoulders, their week.
Massage, custom facials and waxing, delivered by therapists who specialise in individualising a session rather than repeating one. Warm, cosy, unhurried, and designed to nurture you.

“we look forwardto soothing you.”

two rooms, and that is the whole plan
There are exactly two treatment rooms at 1883 Hayes, which means there is never a queue at the desk and nobody is waiting on your table. It also means the hour you booked is the hour you get.
The space was built to be warm and small rather than impressive — soft light, oak shelves, heated tables, hot towels, and the kettle usually already on.

organic and natural, wherever we can find it
We are an eco-conscious business and we use organic and natural products whenever it is possible — including the Botnia line, grown and made locally, which we use in treatment and stock on the shelf.
Nothing in a facial here is off a fixed protocol. Your therapist reads your skin that day and builds the session around what it is actually doing.

half a block from the panhandle
We are between Masonic and Ashbury, next to the Panhandle and north of Haight Ashbury — close enough to Golden Gate Park that plenty of guests walk the last stretch on purpose.
Our sister shop, This Magic Life, is over at 299 Guerrero at 15th if you find yourself on that side of town.
health & safety
Your health and safety are the priority here. Our providers are trained and licensed in cleaning and disease protection — it is a large part of the licence — and we stay in step with city, county and state health orders as they change.
- Services are by appointment only — you will get a text when the room is ready for you.
- If you arrive early, wait in the car until your welcome-in note arrives.
- Wash your hands or use sanitiser before entering.
- Touch-less temperature check and a short pre-screen at the door.
- No additional guests, so the room stays under capacity.
